Where is the summer?

Rain, rain and more rain, I can't quite believe whats happening here at the moment, I just heard on the news that people are fighting over clean water. I hope all you fellow Brits are safe & dry & don't catch this horrid cold I'm suffering with.

On a more positive note I was going to blog this morning about 2 new editions to my Etsy shop, but I woke up to find they had both been bought yay! They have gone to a very good home & I couldn't be happier.

They are tooth fairy dolls, that come with a little welcome note and 3 personalised note cards, I have just one left that I will be adding to my shop as soon as I've finished this post.

Also I treated myself a few days ago & went sales shopping on Oxford Street, I discovered that a Primark has opened at the Marble Arch end, which is dangerous! I got this cute summer dress 'with pockets!' for £10 & this gorgeous coat for £20, now I just need the rain to stop for long enough to wear them out.

I needn't have worried the weather was glorious, we had our beach hut BBQ & it was delicious.
Not only do our frinds have a beach hut they also have a house, a garden & a huge studio! its enough to tempt any loyal Londener to move to up & coming Hastings.

I just wanted to share with you some new goodies that have arrived and brightened up my life this week. More Little Madam dolls that will be making their way into my shop over the coming weeks.

These adorable gift tags and greetings card by the fabulous peepbebe

This beautiful bookmark that I ordered from the incredibly talented annejulie

which arrived with all these extra goodies!

and finally these beautiful 3D postcards from birdie1973, which are a tempting appetiser whilst I save up and buy an original, I have coveted her work for along long time.

Now I most go and pack, Russ and I are off for a weekend at the seaside. I hope the weather is as lovely as last weekend as our friends that we are staying with have promised us a BBQ at their beach hut, but I fear it might be fish and chips huddled together in the car!
I'm taking homemade plum tarts

which obviously I had to taste test.....mmmmmmmm!

The day after the night before!

Thank you so much for all your lovely birthday messages, I had a fabulously giddy day, largely brought on by the fact that Russ has ordered me a gocco printer.I am SSSSOoooooo excited, I'm going to screen print everything and anything on anything and everything!

Anyway back to work today. I am going to be making my second order of buttons for the beautiful Parisian boutique 'Les Fleurs'. I am honored to be sending a second order so quickly as I think Parisians having impeccable taste.

I also have a range of my buttons for sale at Mieke's gorgeous Belgian Boutique.

and as soon as I've finished this blog I am going to add these new postcards to my shop. I ordered 100 of each design from a professional printers & I am really happy with the quality.

It's My Birthday...

.....and I'm having a lovely day. My very dear friends from Sydney woke me with a tuneful rendition of 'Happy Birthday to you' then we chatted for most of the morning, aren't phone cards fab. Amanda is a fellow Etsy seller and had just been to her first Etsy meeting in a favourite little cafe of mine in Glebe, Sydney, I was very jealous, a: because she got to meet lots of like minded people and b: because they do the best cakes and peppermint tea!
Then just after we finished chatting these arrived from her & her gorgeous hubby

they smell divine and look so pretty on the beautiful table cloth my mum & dad bought me from Italy.

Then another friend phoned from Spain and it got me to thinking.....Russ and I have only been back in the UK for a few months after traveling & working abroad for a couple of years. I celebrated my birthday this time last year in the incredibly cool city of Melbourne

and the year before in Phuket.

Excuse the cheesy photo, it's to illustrate the point that I was sat on a deserted beach, with white sand and turquoise sea.........
North London doesn't seem quite so glamorous compared, but tonight I get to go to my local pub with a few of my closest friends & I think that's what its all about really.
