Its 15cm wider than our parade tape, printed in 3 colours & is 66 meters long (that's long!)
I like it very much.

What a lovely 2 weeks I just had in Bristol. It is such a great city, made even nicer by the fact that our Belle & Boo dispatch studio is based there & I got to be neighbours with Suzie, Helena and Tracy. They are all mums and are juggling work and childcare over the school holidays, so it felt good to be able to help out and do some posting and packing again. I do miss all that bubble wrap and sticky tape.
The Balloon Festival was on whilst I was there, which was very apt as I have just finished a balloon inspired illustration for a new Bristol based site, to be launched soon. I will explain in more detail at a later date, here is a sneaky peek above. I have never seen a hot air balloon blown up before, it was actually quite scary, we were sat just meters away as lots of people struggled to keep control against the wind, I was ready to run I can tell you!

If you do get the chance to visit Bristol I INSIST you pop by Lido it is officially my favorite cafe/resturant at the moment. It is lovely in the sunshine, but even prettier & more tranquil in the rain (I do love rain) & the tapas, yum.

Road Testing

The book is finally finished and it is better than I could have possibly hoped. A big shout out goes to Aniz, Suzie's husband for pushing the printers just that little bit harder, to get the colours just so, the binding spot on, but keeping the cost down so we can afford to sell it a very reasonable price. Like I mentioned before it wont be in the shops until mid September, which is sssooooooo frustrating as I can't wait to share it with you. Meanwhile a few very lucky little girls are road testing it here in Bristol & there are big smiles all round.

Australian news; Germaine Leece has written a lovely interview about yours truly on her blog Some Home Truths, Belle & Boo have been featured in these great magazines

& in this interesting artical in The Sydney Morning Herald

Bristol, Books & Extremely Cute Tape

I am just about settled in my new home, for the next 2 and a half weeks I am house sitting 2 cats in Bristol. I am a few doors up from Suzie, round the corner from Tracy & Helena and 5 mins walk from the Bristol studio, it's all very convenient. I am currently working from an 11 year old boys desk, it's a new & interesting experience for me, this is my view.

I wonder if Simpsons characters are going to start making an appearance in my Belle & Boo illustrations, now that would be interesting!

Being in Bristol means I will be able to get my hands on a copy of a 'To Do' book as soon as that are finished, they are sssssoooooo nearly complete, today they are being bound & cut. The bad news is they will not be available to buy in our shops until mid September (sorry for the wait Annabel & thank you for my lovely postcard) To tease & tempt you meanwhile here is the front cover.

The book is called 'Bubbles Before Bed' it is a story book, colouring book & activity book all rolled into one as I said before it has been a years worth of work so I really hope everyone likes it!
If you would like to be contacted as soon as the book is available click here & we will add you to our growing list.
Another cute product available in September is new sticky tape, available in 2 colour ways which we like to call Paris Umbrella Sticky Tape (blue) & London Umbrella Sticky Tape (red) I was inspired whilst working on 'Poppy's Puddle' I just couldn't stop drawing kids in wellies and umbrellas.

Lastly Maggie did the draw on her blog & the winner is Jo who wrote this fab poem below, Jo if you haven't already can you please contact Maggie.
